UGC Reach ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Chrome extension and related services (the "Service"). By using UGC Reach, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect two types of information: "Personal Information" and "Non-Personal Information."
Personal Information
Personal Information is data that can be used to identify you individually. We collect:
- Account Information: Email address, password (encrypted), and account preferences
- Profile Information: Your follower count, content niche, bio, and portfolio links (if provided)
- Extracted Brand Data: Contact information (emails, phone numbers, social media handles, websites) extracted from Instagram profiles and brand websites you choose to analyze
- CRM Data: Deal information you enter, including brand names, deal values, status updates, notes, follow-up dates, and payment tracking
- AI-Generated Content: Pitch messages and compatibility scores generated by our AI based on brand analysis
- Payment Information: Billing details processed through Stripe (we do not store your credit card information)
- Usage Data: Number of extractions performed, AI messages generated, and feature usage metrics
Non-Personal Information
Non-Personal Information is data that cannot identify you individually:
- Technical Information: Extension version, operating system, and time zone
- Usage Analytics: Feature usage patterns, click events, and session duration (aggregated and anonymized)
Information Collection Methods
- Direct Input: Information you provide when creating an account, setting up your profile, or using CRM features
- Automated Extraction: Public information extracted from Instagram profiles and brand websites when you click the "Extract" button
- Cookies: We use essential cookies only for authentication and maintaining your logged-in session
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
- Provide the Service: Enable contact extraction, AI pitch generation, compatibility scoring, and CRM functionality
- Process Payments: Handle subscription billing through Stripe
- Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience
- Customer Support: Respond to your questions, resolve issues, and provide technical assistance
- Communications: Send service-related notifications, updates, and promotional offers (you can opt out of marketing emails)
- Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell, rent, or trade your Personal Information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Service Providers
We share your information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service:
- Supabase: Database hosting, authentication, and data storage
- Stripe: Payment processing (Stripe has its own privacy policy governing payment information)
- OpenAI & Groq: AI services for pitch generation and brand analysis (we send brand context and your profile information; they do not use your data to train their models)
These providers only access your information as needed to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect your data.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to:
- Comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests
- Enforce our Terms of Service or investigate violations
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of UGC Reach, our users, or the public
- Prevent fraud, security threats, or technical issues
Business Transfers
If UGC Reach is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your Personal Information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. DATA COLLECTION FROM WEBSITES
When you use the "Extract" feature, UGC Reach:
- Opens brand websites in a new browser tab (visible to you)
- Extracts publicly available contact information (emails, contact forms, social media links)
- Analyzes publicly available brand content (marketing campaigns, product descriptions, audience information)
- Does not access password-protected content, private data, or user accounts
- Only operates when you click "Extract" – we do not track your browsing activity
This extraction is performed on your device and only activated by you.
5. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
We retain your Personal Information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
Account Deletion:
- You may delete your account at any time through the extension settings
- Upon deletion, we will remove your Personal Information within 30 days
- Some data may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, enforcing agreements)
- Backup copies may persist in our systems for up to 30 additional days
Data Portability:
You can export your CRM data at any time using the CSV export feature (Pro subscribers only).
6. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We implement security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest
- Authentication: Password-protected accounts with secure authentication via Supabase
- Access Controls: Limited employee access to user data on a need-to-know basis
- Regular Audits: Ongoing security assessments and updates
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your Personal Information
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings
- Deletion: Request deletion of your Personal Information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in our messages or by contacting support@ugcreach.com
- Data Portability: Export your CRM data in CSV format

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
UGC Reach is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete it immediately. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 18, please contact us at support@ugcreach.com.
9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The Service may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Instagram, brand websites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
10. INTERNATIONAL USERS
UGC Reach is based in the United States and primarily serves English-speaking users in the U.S. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
11. AI AND DATA USAGE
We do not use your data to develop, improve, or train AI models. Your pitch content, CRM data, and extracted brand information are never used for machine learning purposes without your explicit consent.
12. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice in the extension. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
